Places to Stay in LA

There’s no shortage of accommodations in Los Angeles — the question is what you want and how much you’re willing to spend. Most of the events will happen in/around central Hollywood, so we think that’s a pretty good place to start looking for hotels, too.

Budget

AIRBNB
Our personal favorite. Get what you want, probably pay a little less than a hotel, and stay at a local’s house. Be sure to read the fine print and check the reviews before booking. We’ve stayed in some really great homes and some really crappy ones, too.
$100+ per night

Mid-Range

MAMA SHELTER
The clientele is Hollywood hipster all the way, featuring a nightclub on the ground floor and rooftop terrace with panoramic views of central Hollywood. This hotel is also the most centrally-located of the bunch within easy ride share to all the major events.
$159-299 per night

HOTEL NORMANDIE
Built in the 1920s, this historic hotel in Koreatown is rich with old Hollywood charm. The decor is simple but tasteful with leather sofas and fireplaces all around. This is a good bet if you want the classic Hollywood experience.
$190-250 per night

STANDARD HOTEL
Definitely the most scenester hotel of the bunch, the Standard promises off-beat fun with a super posh disco in the basement. The see-and-be-seen hotel all the way. Also conveniently located along the Sunset Strip in the heart of West Hollywood.
$200+ per night

Luxury

SUNSET TOWER HOTEL
Probably one of the most elegant hotels in town with the best service, this art deco gem is gorgeous and it couldn’t be any more centrally located along the Sunset Strip in West Hollywood.
$395+ per night
